Scotty Johnson is a behavioural coach, speaker, connector and Founder of Explore What Matters. For 30 years, he has provided opportunities for people to make a positive difference to their own lives, the organisations they are part of, and the societies they live in. He believes the most profound insights arise when we slow down, step outside, and create space for quality thinking and dialogue. This philosophy underpins his work, guiding guests through immersive experiences that restore presence, spark insight, and reconnect with inner purpose.

Richard Strudwick

What matters to Richard is treating every person as an individual and creating learning that’s grounded in real experience. He’s driven by a belief that deeper awareness unlocks meaningful change, and that leadership grows through honest conversations, curiosity, and connection to the world around us.

Richard Strudwick is a leadership facilitator, team coach and executive coach who designs experiential programmes for leaders working in complexity. Based in Cardiff and working globally, he partners with organisations in the civic and social impact sectors to build ethical, adaptive leadership. With a background in education and charities, Richard brings over 15 years of experience helping senior teams shift behaviours, challenge assumptions, and think differently. Known for his grounded presence and thoughtful approach, he balances depth with a spirit of play.

Jen Wrigley

Jen Wrigley is a leadership development specialist, executive coach, and team coach who works with mid to senior-level leaders across sectors and geographies. With a background spanning music, psychotherapy and corporate learning, she blends emotional intelligence, psychological insight, and real-world experience to support sustainable leadership growth. Jen has delivered leadership programmes for clients such as Heineken, Lidl, and Royal London, coached senior leaders at Sage, Flutter and Johnson & Johnson, and supported team development at Centrica and Solidatus.

Outside of work, Jen enjoys making music, adventuring outdoors with her family in the Lake District, and continues to be inspired by the cultural perspective she gained while living in Japan.

He’s passionate about human behaviour, growth, and change, and believes self-awareness, curiosity, and balance are key to effective leadership. Whether through coaching or consultancy, Ben enables leaders to build confidence, strategic focus, and the resilience to thrive in complexity.

Ben Dowman is an executive coach, leadership development expert, and organisational consultant with over 24 years of experience. He has delivered programmes for Google, NHS England, and Airbus, and led cultural change with Bosch UK, The Law Society, and others. A qualified coach trainer, published author, and university lecturer, Ben blends deep psychological insight with practical leadership strategies. 

Outside of work, he recharges through climbing, cycling, wild swimming, and the occasional lesson in perspective from his cats.

Michelle McCarthy

What matters to Michelle is helping people reconnect with what truly keeps them well,  mentally, emotionally and physically. She brings warmth, energy, and realness to her work, empowering individuals to thrive, not just survive. Her passion for wellbeing is matched by a love of wild landscapes, cold lakes, and deep connection.

Michelle McCarthy is a Clinical Psychologist, health coach and leadership facilitator with over 20 years of experience supporting personal growth and psychological wellbeing. She specialises in tackling stress and burnout, and brings a grounded, compassionate approach to her work with CEOs, MPs, medics, athletes, and leaders across sectors. Michelle has delivered award-winning programmes for organisations such as JP Morgan, Johnson & Johnson, EY, and British Gas in New Zealand, the UK, Europe, and beyond.

Outside of work, Michelle lives lakeside in the South Island of New Zealand, where she hikes, skis, paddle boards,  and takes a daily dip in glacier-fed water to stay centred and strong.

Megan Evans

Known for her commercial awareness and people-first approach, she helps individuals unlock potential and organisations embed lasting change.
